Aluminium foils are rolled into sheets as thin as 6 to 30 microns and used in
printing, lacquering, embossing and laminating. Especially they are widely used
for food packages and household industries.
Superior flavor retention and longer shelf life are the principal advantages of
laminated aluminum foil flexible packages. Impervious, to light, air, water and most
other gases and liquids, the aluminum protects package contents from such
harmful invaders as oxygen and sunlight, and bacteria and other foreign substances. Now foil is helping make retortable pouches practical for cooked foods.
